House of Krumbach Bluebird Bird House

Bluebirds normally perch on wires, posts, and low branches in open country, scanning the ground for prey. They feed by dropping to the ground onto insects or, in fall and winter, by perching on fruiting trees to gulp down berries. Bluebirds commonly use nest boxes more so than many other birds. Blue birds eat mainly insects so having them in your yard is great for pest control. This bluebird house will keep the bluebirds nest safe from predators. The white cedar used in the construction of each "House of Krumbach" is rough cut locally. It is then cut and sized on an antique flat belt shingle mill, powered by an antique hit and miss engine.  All Houses and feeders are constructed of 100% white cedar. All parts of the houses are glued and then reinforced with galvanized staples and/or nails making them extremely durable and weather resistant.  Most houses, with the exception of the bat house, has a pivot side for easy clean out.
