When you see mole tunnels popping up in your yard, you'll want to have one of these on hand. The Victor® Mole Trap effectively kills moles without the use of chemicals or poisons. The plunger-style trap features weather-resistant spears that allow the trap to be used over and over again.
Additionally, each trap is equipped with an easy to use design and safety pin to eliminate false firings. The trap come fully assembled and with illustrated operating instructions on setting and placement. Ideally, this mole trap should be placed into the tunnel with the tunnel portion beneath the trigger pan partially blocked. The trigger must rest on the blockage. It is because of this placement that traps works best for moles, since their natural instinct is to reopen the tunnel. In clearing the tunnel, they will push up on the trigger, releasing the powerful trap.
Spring is the best time to trap moles because newly-made surface tunnels are easy to spot. However, moles can be trapped during any season except in very cold or dry weather.

Victor® Plunger-Style Mole Traps
Instructions for 0645 Victor Plunger Spear Type Mole Traps.
To Set & Place the Victor Plunger Mole Traps:
1. To identify active mole tunnels, flatten out all
tunnels. Wait 24 hours. Tunnels that resurface are
most likely the active tunnels. Set traps in these
locations.
2. Make a depression in the roof of the main tunnel by
pressing down with your thumb.
3. Center the trap on the tunnel, with the trap pan
directly over the depression youve made with your
thumb.
4. Push trap down until spears have bottomed out.
5. Preset spear holes by plunging spears up and down until
they travel easily to the bottom on their own.
6. Before setting the trap, make sure the firing latch is
OUTSIDE the pan.
7. Holding the trap frame in place, rapidly pull upward on T
handle until the firing latch snaps over the pan. Ease
T handle down until latch catches.
8. Trap is set. If necessary, apply slight downward force
to ensure pan is fitting IN the thumb depression and
is contacting the roof of the tunnel.
9. Trap has fired. Remove mole.
NOTE: Safety pin should be reinserted whenever unsprung
mole traps are removed from ground.
