When you see gopher holes popping up in your yard, you'll want to have one of these on hand. The Victor Gopher Trap effectively kills gophers without the use of chemicals or poisons. The trap features a powder coated exterior for rust resistance and galvanized steel construction for superior strength and durability. The traps narrow design allows for easy insertion into gopher tunnels and keeps moving parts completely below the surface, safely away from children and pets
Additionally, each trap is equipped with an O ring to stake the trap easily into the ground and prevent run offs. Traps come fully assembled and with illustrated operating instructions on setting and placement. As the most reliable gopher trap on the market, you can rest assured that your yard is safe from the damaging effects of gophers.
Gopher trapping can be done at any time of year, but generally is easiest and most effective during Spring & Fall. Once gopher activity is detected it is important to move quickly as pregnant females can be caught before giving birth to her family. Traps are most effective when placed in the gopher tunnel and with 2 traps back to back. The hole should be covered up with dirt so that it appears as if the trap is part of the runway.
When used correctly, traps produce a catch within 48 hours. It is best to move the trap to another location in the runway if you do not catch a gopher in this timeframe.

Victor® Model 0615 Gopher Trap
Instructions
To locate tunnels in frequent use, clear away a mound of soil and probe for the
opening usually a short passage that leads down a few inches to the main tunnel.
To Set the Gopher Traps:
1. Hold the trap in one hand, and with the fingers of your other hand, lift up
trigger bar A to an almost vertical position. Slide thumb under trigger bar
A (Illustration 1).
2. With thumb positioned behind jaws B, press down on upper frame (arm) C
until dog of trigger bar A engages over front of upper frame C (Illustration
3. With thumb of other hand, press down on open end of trigger bar A to hold
trap set, and engage pan E over end of trigger bar (Illustration 3).
4. Lateral Tunnel Near Mound (Illustration 4) - This is the least damaging to
your lawn and easiest to dig. Locate mound and remove plug. Remove enough
dirt from lateral tunnel to make a clean insertion of set trap. A small digging
trowel works well. Install ground stake and attach trap. Set and insert trap.
Cover hole as shown. IMPORTANT: Leave a small opening into the tunnel so
light may be seen from inside. This will serve as bait for the gopher to come
and repair the damage to the plug.
