This wall mounted fleshing beam mount is the strongest, and sturdiest mount on the market. This mount can be mounted to just about anything with a profile of less than 1". For those trappers with space issues, you can slide fleshing beam in and out for quick cleaning and storage, with only the plate left on the wall. Beam bracket comes pre-drilled to fit any fleshing beam width 5" and up. Each mounting bracket comes with 4 - 5/16" x 2 1/2" carriage bolts with washers to mount to fleshing beam to bracket. This mounting system is the last one you ever buy.
INSTALLATION DIRECTIONS:
-
Lay fleshing beam on a hard, flat, sturdy surface upside down. Take beam bracket and lay the side with the four 3/8” holes face down and centered on fleshing beam. Beam bracket should be 1” past the end of fleshing beam. Now mark holes.
-
Drill marked holes with a 5/16” bit.
-
Install four 5/16” carriage bolts through fleshing beam and beam bracket and tighten securely.
-
Before you mount your plate, here is a great place to start. Figure out what height you would like the point of your fleshing beam to be from your standing surface. These measurements should give you point of reference to start from. If you mount the top of plate at 23”, this will put a 48” long fleshing beam point at 41” from standing surface. You can use these measurements to help with adjusting to your liking.
-
Mount wall plate to desired height with pocket facing upwards. There are 2 options with this.
a.) If mounting to studs mark 9/16” holes (using the wall plate as a template) and pre-drill with a ¼” bit. Mount with ½”x 3 ½” lag screws and tighten securely. This will attach the wall plate to one wall stud.
b.) Manufacturers recommend to anchor a piece of 2” x 12” to two wall studs at needed height. Then, attach wall plate to the 2” x 12” with 4 ½” lag screws or drill 4x 9/16” holes through the 2” x 12, attach nuts/washers, and tighten securely.
-
Now your fleshing beam with bracket can be slid into wall plate. Your beam can now be slid in and out with ease without compromising strength and sturdiness for a lifetime of use. Unlike other beam mounts, ours allows 100% use of your fleshing beam.
